Initially analog cellular network (first generation) followed by other networks such as GSM (second generation) were provided to fulfill users communications needs but after elapse of two decades from initiating this technology, the users needs are on the increase and there is a necessity of accessing to more and speedier information through Internet, in addition to sending and receiving e-mail, multi broadcasting services etc.
This requirement can be to some extent addressed in the 2.5 Generation Network (GPRS), which its complete sample was designed, prepared, tested and evaluated in Iran for the first time by the Mobile Communications Technologies Company.
